Get up close and personal with the friendly giants!
Whale Watching can be an incredible experience - the fresh air and open water combined with the incredible majesty of nature's most amazing creatures can make for memories that will last a lifetime. Live the eco-friendly experience in Baja California Sur!
Laguna Ojo de Liebre (also known as Scammon's Lagoon) is located in the surroundings of Guerrero Negro, Baja California Sur, México. Gray whales have come for centuries to mate, calve, and relax before heading north to their arctic feeding grounds. To see the whales blowing, sounding, mating, and calving in their natural habitat is an awesome and inspiring experience. It's quite common for mother whales to bring their babies right up to the boat for a closer look!
During the season, December–April, Mario´s Tours offers whale watching tours for groups up to 10 people.
During the top of the season, our vans leave daily from the Restaurant Mario´s at 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. and drive, via the Salt Company roads, to our pier at the shore of the lagoon, where a panga takes our guests out to the sea for about three hours. Lunch is included in the tour fee.
Help to develop the region, please hire local business at the communities, do not hire foreign business that do not bring real benefits to the locals (tips are not real benefits).
